What matters in Follow Left Turn
The Follow turns left from a prepared body and foot organization. Direction is made clear before the main turn begins.
Rotation develops from controlled weight changes and a usable supporting axis. Lateral collapse of the upper body does not replace this organization.
When connected, the Lead communicates timing and direction through a mobile hand or frame pathway.
Connection leaves the turning dancer's elbow and shoulder free. The hand is not taken beyond the shoulder's natural available range.
The Follow finishes the left turn in independent balance with clearly organized weight and an orientation usable for the next partner action.

Before rotation, the follow needs clear weight and foot organization from which the left turn can be performed independently.
When partner contact is present, it communicates the leftward direction and beginning of the action without pulling the dancer around the axis by the hand or arm.
