What matters in Spin Preparation
Spin preparation first establishes clear weight and support organization. The following spin does not begin from an unresolved intermediate position.
Depending on the execution, a small counter-action of the body or arms may prepare rotational potential. It remains controlled rather than becoming a large wind-up.
The body center remains controllable during preparation. Preparation should enable the spin rather than displacing the axis before rotation begins.
Arms and shoulders support preparation without unnecessary tension. Throwing the arms strongly does not replace clear weight organization.
At the end of preparation, direction, supporting side, and body organization are clear enough for rotation to begin without an additional corrective step.

Spin preparation clarifies which foot carries weight before rotation and from what body organization the following turn can begin.
A preparatory counter-action may create rotational potential but remains small enough that the axis is not lost before the spin itself starts.
Arm positions can help keep the body compact. Large arm swings are neither required nor a substitute for a stable base.

Build the preparatory weight and body position first and stop there without performing the spin.
Once the preparation is reproducible, begin several individual spins from the same clear starting organization.

Before rotation begins, it is unambiguous which foot supports the turn.
Preparation changes body organization without already falling uncontrollably into the spin.
Repeated attempts begin from a comparable axis, foot, and weight position.
